Getting an internship with the media department of the Dallas Cowboys is definitely a very rare occurrence as only a few people are chosen to intern with them. Such a rare event happened to a student named miss Caitlin Crawford who was a hardcore fan of this team. Because of her efforts to stand out from all the other applicants, she was able to find a slot and eventually get her dream internship.
For the people who do not know about miss Crawford, she is a students that is currently studying in the University of Oklahoma and was born in Dallas. She is majoring in broadcasting and media studies. In her whole stay in college, that one highlight in her entire college life was known to be her collaboration with the media team of the Dallas Cowboys as she had always been a big fan.
At that time, she applied for the internship by sending her resume to the media department of that place. Now what she did not expect was that the media department called her back and scheduled her for an interview in the stadium. Excitedly, she went to the interview and got the internship at the Cowboys stadium as a video editor.
As she continued working, naturally her duties also began to become more and more. From just editing footage, she was tasked to do some features of other events that were held in the Cowboys stadium. She even worked with the media department in covering the Dallas Cowboys cheerleader audition wherein she was able to shoot the audition and also edit the footage.
Now with regard to the operations of equipment, she also helped as a camera person who shot some events. She was able to help the media team with the behind the scenes footage of games that took place in the stadium. One very interesting thing that she did was that she even helped with the designing of marketing projects for the department.
When her internship during the summer ended, they still wanted her to work with them during the holidays in covering some features of sports events. She produced a few features and covered some events while she also was in charge of video editing. She did such a good job that when the second summer came, she got invited again.
Naturally, the tasks that were given to her increased during her second summer which made her an even more skilled broadcaster. She even got to do interviews of certain people who participated in the games and assisted the team members. Some people that she interviewed were the team members, some fans, coaches, and even personnel who handled the medical and nutritional aspect of the team.
Now it was because of the passion and skills of miss Caitlin Crawford that she got the internship. Because of this event in her life, she was able to further hone all of her skills and learn a lot from the media department. For a young student like her, this was definitely a once in a lifetime chance.
